MAI

We are a Division of Missionary Athletes International (MAI).

MAI was founded in 1983 with a mission of glorifying God and seeing lives transformed by sharing the message of Jesus Christ through the global environment of soccer. Today, MAI has 8 Divisions in the United States, located in: Southern California; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; High Point, NC; Phoenix, AZ; Orlando, FL; Delaware Valley, PA; and Lexington, KY with additional ministry affiliate programs occurring in other states and countries around the world.

We offer a progressive pathway through the game of soccer, aimed at meeting players and coaches where they are, and moving them to the next level. Our goal is for everyone to experience: Excellent Soccer, Authentic Community, Spiritual Growth and Ministry Involvement.

Since soccer is the world’s most popular sport, you can roll out a soccer ball almost anywhere in the world and you will attract a crowd of children. Through the common enjoyment of this world-wide sport, we are able to build relationships that allow us to share the message of God’s redeeming love.

Our Virtues

  • JOY

We are playing a game that evokes a sense of fun, childlikeness, and freedom. The way we play our game should be a foreshadowing of and overflow from our relationship with Jesus. Our staff should be joy-filled and we hope that people who encounter our staff would desire to have this joy that is within us.

  • INTEGRITY

We want to have integrity in the game and around the game. We operate in the tension of professional excellence in a competitive environment while not idolizing performance as our identity.

  • FAITHFULNESS

We are bound to the full Gospel which acknowledges sin as the true problem with the world while pointing to the extravagant love of God for sinful and broken humanity evident in the cross of Jesus Christ.

  • COURAGE

The scope of where we strive to see Gospel change manifested in the whole world. With courage stemming from the love of God, we seek to reach the next player, family, community, city, and country with the Gospel message through competitive sport.
